Prinova customer, CIGNA, wins prestigious awards for its Explanation of Benefits re-design

TORONTO ‒ Oct. 21, 2011 ‒ Prinova, Inc., a leader in the Customer Communications Management market, with a focus on integrated multi-channel customer messaging, announces two awards for the redesign of CIGNA’s Explanation of Benefits statement.

CIGNA is a global health service and financial company dedicated to helping people improve their health, well-being and sense of security. The Explanation of Benefits, considered the industry’s key customer communication, earned “Excellent” designation for clarity, content and design by DALBAR, Inc., a leading third- party evaluator of communications quality for the financial services and health care industries. The EOB statement achieved a perfect score for its “bill summary” and “details” sections and earned DALBAR’s “Seal of Approval”.

The statement also earned the Center for Plain Language ClearMark award for excellence in the “most improved private sector document” category. More than 80 government agencies and private businesses competed for this year’s Center for Plain Language ClearMark awards.

CIGNA is one of only four to earn DALBAR’s “Excellent” designation. DALBAR’s method of evaluating print communication has been developed and refined over the past two decades. Important features include qualities such as design and language that result in the consumer’s ability to understand the significance of the information and easily answer pertinent questions.
